Trade & Export Services
New to Export Program
Our NTE (New To Export) Program aims to support small companies during their export journey. Our services will enable them to understand what the Canadian market means for them in terms of opportunities. We will then develop a value proposition for use during the go-to-market phase. The NTE program is a multi-phase program lasting several months.
Our New to Export Program Includes:
Assessment Calls with SMEs
Market Entry Reports
Partner Identification
Qualification: Individual In-Market Virtual Visits
Your Business Could Be Eligible for Export Services Grants
Your local government or economic development partner can probably support you in your export strategy. CIDEP partners with several U.S. States and European regions, providing export services to their local companies. Through these partnerships, new to export companies and small-to-medium-sized businesses can benefit from our services for free or a fraction of the cost of a regular consulting firm. In other cases, companies get refunded for part of their export expenses.
Federal Funding Distributed at the Local Level
The State Trade Expansion Program (STEP)
The STEP grant program has helped thousands of small businesses obtain grants and find customers in the international marketplace since 2011. Through awards to U.S. states and territories, STEP helps small businesses overcome obstacles to exporting by providing grants to cover costs associated with entering and expanding into international markets.
STEP financial support helps U.S. small businesses:
